The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Vice President to join our Structured Finance team as part of our fiduciary services business in Grand Cayman.
The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will:
- Reporting to a Senior Vice President, you will serve as director/share trustee of a diverse portfolio of offshore companies engaged in structured finance transactions including Asset Financing, Sukuk, CLO/CDOs, Note Programmes, Repackaging vehicles and other complex bespoke financing structures.
- Managing an existing portfolio of structured finance transactions
- Reviewing and commenting on transaction documents
- Coordinating the client acceptance process and delivering exceptional client service while ensuring that each client relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures.
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- A university graduate with an excellent academic background and a minimum of 5 years relevant financial services experience.
- An understanding of the securitisation industry, particularly structured finance transactions as he/she will be expected to assume fiduciary duties on these transactions.
- Experience in reviewing structured finance transaction documents, and an understanding of corporate governance is a must.
- Ability to liaise with investment bankers, lawyers, investment managers, custodians and other transaction parties located in various international jurisdictions.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant local laws and current regulatory requirements with a focus on AEOI, AML Regulations and Economic Substance is required.
- Attention to detail, professionalism, excellent organizational skills, and a team-first mentality.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to handle a diverse workload.
- Sound working knowledge of all Windows applications
- Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written.
